Jun Su Park, Ph.D.

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied AI and Entrepreneurship at Handong Global University. With a background in architectural and structural engineering, I have gained broad experience in both industry and research through roles at companies of various sizes and at universities. My research centers on developing AI-based methods to address real-world challenges in the construction industry. My current work focuses on structural design optimization and automation, as well as computer vision–based methods for remotely and automatically inspecting and monitoring construction sites. My broader interests include classical mechanics, structural engineering, optimization, neural networks, reinforcement learning, and computer vision. Outside of work, I enjoy playing the guitar, listening to music, drawing scenes and characters, playing table tennis, and gaming.
